Land purchase / sale fees
Purchase / Sale of Land Fees :
- Transfer fee* = 2% of the official land Land Departments official appraisal price;
(The sum is the minimum base of calculation for the transfer fees. Should the "declared" selling price be higher, the 2% is levied on the higher value.)
- 0.5% stamp fee.
- A 3.3% specific business tax is charged on the actual selling price (where the seller is a company or developer);
Note regarding the business tax :
A legal business entity is always required to pay 3.3%, independent from any holding period.
An individual owner/seller will be assessed at the land department and the holding period goes into the formula where a holding of less than 10 years draws a higher business tax).
